About Us

Ebony Myers Hope Foundation

The Ebony Myers Hope Foundation was established in loving memory of Ebony Myers, whose life was tragically cut short by domestic violence. In honor of her spirit, we are dedicated to supporting all survivors and fostering a community of hope and resilience.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide comprehensive resources and emotional support for those affected by domestic violence, regardless of gender. We understand the unique challenges faced by survivors and are committed to offering assistance tailored to their needs.

What We Offer

  • Transportation Services: We provide safe transportation to and from legal proceedings, ensuring that survivors can access essential help without added stress. We also offer transportation for safety to help individuals escape dangerous situations.

  • Childcare Services: We understand that attending legal proceedings can be challenging for parents. Our foundation offers childcare during these times, allowing survivors to focus on their legal needs without worrying about their children.

  • Hotel Stays: For those in need of immediate refuge, we provide temporary hotel accommodations to ensure a safe place to stay.

  • Clothing Assistance: We supply clothing suitable for legal proceedings, as well as clothing and food to help individuals start anew if needed.

  • Counseling and Education: Our foundation offers counseling services and educational programs aimed at empowering individuals to recognize and avoid domestic violence situations. We strive to break the cycle of violence through awareness and education.

Through our programs and community outreach, we aim to empower all survivors and promote a future free from domestic violence. By providing vital resources and support, we help individuals reclaim their lives and thrive.

Founder

Nedra Myers is the founder of the Ebony Myers Hope Foundation and a dedicated advocate for survivors of domestic violence. With a strong background in event planning and community engagement, Nedra has contributed to numerous nonprofits and outreach events, showcasing her commitment to creating positive change. She continues to work tirelessly in her community in the Palmetto State.

Motivation

Nedra’s motivation to help stems from her profound love for her daughter, Ebony, who was tragically lost to domestic violence. She believes that a foundation like hers could have made a significant difference in Ebony’s life and potentially helped her navigate her own domestic violence situations. This drives Nedra to support others facing similar struggles and to honor Ebony’s memory by making a difference in the lives of survivors.

Vision

Nedra envisions expanding the Ebony Myers Hope Foundation into a organization that operates on a larger scale, ultimately raising enough funds to establish a facility that would serve as both a safe haven and an educational center for survivors. This facility would provide vital resources and support, empowering individuals to reclaim their lives.

Community Engagement

Nedra actively engages with her community by volunteering in counseling, motivational speaking, and assisting individuals with travel arrangements to ensure they can access the support they deserve. Her hands-on approach fosters trust and connection with those the foundation serves.

Personal Statement

"I miss her eyes, her kisses, and the warmth of her smile. Ebony was not only my beloved daughter but also my protector and a source of light in my life. Every day, I feel the profound absence of her spirit and the love she shared so freely. Through the Ebony Myers Hope Foundation, I strive to honor her memory by creating a safe haven for survivors, empowering them to find their own light and resilience. Together, we can ensure that no one has to face their struggles alone. Today I turn my pain into my purpose, so one day it can be powerful."
